Yes, reports expire thirty days after they are generated. Vehicle data such as finance, theft records and write off status can change at any time, and our data providers do not allow long term storage. If you are close to buying, run a fresh report so the information is current.

The mileage shown in your report is the last mileage recorded in official sources at the time of the check. It does not track the live mileage on the car. You should always compare this value with the odometer on the vehicle and ask the seller about any difference.

A mileage discrepancy marker means that official entries, for example MOT history, DVLA records or finance data, do not follow a normal upward pattern when compared with each other. There is no way to guarantee that a vehicle has never had its mileage changed, but if any official recorded source does not match the others we flag it clearly in your report so you can investigate further with the seller.

No. The report shows insurance write off records and damage that appears in official systems. Minor incidents that were repaired privately and not recorded by insurers or MOT testers will not appear.

Your report is generated instantly in your browser after payment and a link is emailed to you. If you have lost the email and the link, please contact us with the registration you checked. If the report is still within the thirty day validity period we will resend the link.

Once a report is successfully created, the data cost is paid to our providers so we cannot refund completed checks. If a technical problem stopped your report from loading, please contact us and we will fix the issue. For full details, see our Terms and Conditions.

Yes. All payments are processed by Stripe using strong encryption. Your full card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored on Carpeep servers.

You can check any vehicle that is registered in the UK, including cars, vans, motorcycles, motorhomes and many commercial vehicles, as long as it has a valid registration number.

No. Checks are completely private and do not notify the seller or any previous keeper.

No. Your report opens as a mobile friendly web page. You can screenshot or print it if you want a copy for your records.

You can view the same report for thirty days, but vehicle status can change at any time. For any serious buying decision you should always run a fresh report close to the date you plan to purchase.
